At a Court held for the County of Southampton the 11th Day of May 1750 This Inventory & appraisement of the Estate of Arthur Pitmans Estate was returned & Ordered to be Recorded Test R Kello [In the left margin] Whitehead Arthur Will Where as I Arthur Whitehead of the County of Southampton being weak of body but a Sound and perfect understanding and memory do make this writings as & for my last Will and Testament as followeth that is to say first I give and bequeth unto Brother William Whitehead a tract of land Lying on the South Side of Blunts Swamp which contains three hundred and twenty acres to be held of him and his heirs for ever Also: I give and bequeath unto my Brother Jesse Whitehead a tract of Land lying on the North Side of Nawhunty Swamp in Johnson County which contains one humdred Acres to be held of him & his Heirs for ever Also: I give and bequeath unto my brother Lazarus Whitehead one Nagro Boy Called Luke to be held of him and his Heirs forevrt I likewise give to my said brother Lazarus one Gun - - - - As for the rest and Residue of my estate after paying my Debts I Give it to be equally divided between all my Brothers and Ssters That is to say Namely Thos Boone, Lazarus Whitehead, William Whitehead, Selah Whitehead, Jesse Whitehead and Thomas Jones And I do here by Constitute and appoint Richard Vick Executor to this, my last Will and Testament as Witnes [In the left margin] 258 my hand and seal the 4th day of April in the year 1758 Signed Seald and Delivered { in the presence of us. { Arthur Whitehead )seal) William Boone Thomas Boone Eady Boone.
